Stewardship in a time of Scarcity

If there was ever a time for the church to be the church participating in God's mission for the sake of the world, now is the time. The economy of scarcity and fear is trumping all hands. The Center continues to cultivate faith communities that embody the vision of God's economy of abundance and generosity as contrast communities.

Discover Opportunities for Learning and Formation

In 2009 key learning opportunities will focus around the theme:  “In Good Company: Becoming faithful readers and doers of Scripture.”  Communities of faith engaging around Scripture are learning to embody alternative beliefs and practices that offer real hope to the world as it is.  Both the Center Letter subscription series and the 2009 missional church conference July 16-18 will explore these key practices.

    Journey of the People of God  
    Journey of the People of God.  The Center’s staff support missional transformation processes in congregations and judicatories.  We continue to integrate what we have been  learning over the years from the experience of many churches engaging  in the transformation journeys. As a result, in 2008 we began to redesign the missional transformation process for congregations as Journey of the People of God and are rewriting and reformatting all training resources.  Participating churches are excited about this new approach!  Learn more about what the Journey is like for congregations and judicatories.
